India: ITC to Invest in Frozen Food Production

11 August 2008 - India's ITC Foods plans to expand in the domestic frozen foods market during the next six-eight months by investing in its "Kitchen of India".

The company said it will manufacture more frozen foods, such as prepared meals and snacks, at its Bangalore facility.

According to ITC Foods, the frozen foods market is still nascent in India, estimated at only about Rs 250-300 million (USD 6-7 million).
