After a regular meeting of the EU's sugar management committee, the refund on small amounts of white sugar was increased to 14.96 euros per 100 kg from the rate of 14.39 euros fixed via a notice in the EU's Official Journal on Aug. 23.

For raw sugar, the refund was raised to 13.76 euros from 13.23 euros previosuly, the data showed.

While the rates are usually decided by the committee, which comprises representatives from national sugar authorities and the EU's executive commission, they may occasionally be changed by an announcement in the Journal between its regular meetings.
