Johannesburg, Sept 4 - South Africa's branded food and drinks group AVI Ltd reported a 15 percent rise in full-year headline EPS from continuing operations on Thursday, but said it sees tougher trading conditions in 2009.
The firm said headline earnings per share for the year to end June stood at 159 cents, in line with its forecast of an 8-15 percent rise. Revenue was up 14 percent to 6.7 billion rand ($857.9 million).
AVI said it was confident it could sustain earnings growth over the medium term despite a slowdown in volume growth.
