Canada: Ultima Foods' Granby Plant Employees Return to Work

Longueil, QC, Sept. 5 - Following talks held yesterday, September 4th, from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, representatives from Ultima Foods and its union have come to an agreement on a renewed union agreement affecting union employees of the company's Granby plant.

The talks lead to a satisfactory settlement for both parties. The new union agreement will have a 5-year term and will provide for salary increases covering this entire period, among other provisions. The plant employees returned to work at midnight on September 5th.    

Ultima Foods' production activities had temporary been carried out by the plant's management team, but have been in the hands of the company's union employees since their return to work.
