5 September 2008 - Turkey's Ülker Food and Beverage Group is aiming to launch six new brands and 20 new beverages this year and record YTL 738 million (422 million euro) in total sales this year, up 18% from YTL 625 million in 2007.
At a press conference, Ülker President Mehmet Tütüncü said the company aims to increase total beverage production by 11% to 676 million litres per year.
Beverage Group General Manager Şener Astan added that Turkey's beverage market growth is estimated at YTL 3.6 billion (2 billion euro) and that Ülker Beverage Group has a 10% share of the market.
Meanwhile, Beverage Group Vice General Manager Arzu Gökalp said that they had added diversity and new segments to the beverage sector by introducing new drinks: Flores, Maltana, Oranj, Portakal-Çilek, Portakal-Mango, Portakal- Ananas, Cola-Turka Zero Sugar, Chill Out Ice-Tea, Link Lemonade and Çamlıca Lemonade.
