16 Sept - Two retailers from Chile are separately mulling taking over Columbian grocer Olimpia, sources report.
Cencosud and Saci Falabella are said to by eying the acquisition in Columbia.
Cencosud has previously said it is aiming to become the largest retailer in the region. Currently, it owns and runs supermarkets, shopping centres and department stores in Chile, as well as supermarkets in Peru, Brazil and Argentina.
Falabella also owns and operates stores in Chile, Peru and Argentina.
