Veghel, 17 September 2008 - Following intensive and constructive consultation on the future of both formats, Sligro Food Group and the management of Golff are to study the feasibility of merging the Golff and EM-TÉ formats.

Daily News Alerts

If the merger goes ahead, EM-TÉ Supermarkten will consist of over 140 full-service stores, of which 80 will be company operated and 60 will be operated by independent retailers.

Over the past two years, Sligro Food Group has progressively harmonised its Golff and EM-TÉ formats.

The two formats are already fully integrated at the operational and back-office level. Format and product range management, store automation, real estate management and logistics are controlled centrally from the head office in Veghel and both formats are supplied by the food retail distribution centres in Kapelle and Putten.

The study will cover all aspects involved in a full merger. The final decision on the merger is expected in the first quarter of 2009, when further announcements will follow.
