The Paul Renard plant in Flogny-la-Chapelle has a workforce of 140. It specializes in the production of cheeses under the brand names Suprême des Ducs and Le Pié d'Angloys.

In a statement last week, the President of the General Council of the Yonne, Jean-Marie Rolland, said that he was shocked by Bongrain's decision to close the plant and that the General Council will assist the employees who will be jobless in 2009.
