Jiangsu, China, Sep 23, 2008 - JK Sucralose Inc., one of the largest global sucralose manufacturers—made the following statement concerning the International Trade Commission investigation “In the Matter of Certain Sucralose, Sweeteners Containing Sucralose, and Components Thereof” (337-TA-604):
On September 22, 2008, after over a year’s in depth investigation, the ITC judge concluded that JK Sweet TM Sucralose does not infringe Tate & Lyle’s asserted patents. JK Sucralose Inc. successfully intervened in the ITC investigation on August 15th, 2007.
After an extensive investigation, including an inspection of JK Sucralose’s plant in China, we have successfully defended our right to sell JK Sweet TM sucralose in the United States to the Food and Pharmaceutical industries.
JK Sucralose Inc. filed several of its own sucralose processing patents in the United States and China. We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect others to do the same. We only manufacture high-quality sucralose that is used as a sugar free, zero calorie sweetener.

• Our manufacturing plant that is designed to have an annual capacity of 800,000 kgs will greatly support the need of our JK Sweet TM sucralose in Food and Pharmaceutical industries globally.
