Sligro Food Group Third Quarter Trading Update

Veghel, 16 October 2008 - Sligro Food Group N.V.'s sales for the first three quarters (39 weeks) were Euro 1,599 million, an increase of Euro 115 million (7.7%) compared with Euro 1,484 million in 2007.

Organic growth included in the total sales growth was 7.3% (Q3: 5.5%).

Foodretail’s sales mix changed because of changes in the store-mix as a result of the opening of new supermarkets as well as the transfer of stores to Spar Holding, where the sales effect is most marked in Q3 because of seasonality.
