Russian Competition Authority Requests Information from Kesko Food's Subsidiary

20 October 2008 - On its internet pages, the competition authority of the Russian Federation has published information according to which Cassa Oy, a subsidiary of Kesko Food Ltd, has made a preliminary notification of the acquisition of a company called OOO Lenta, and there is a need for further information, and the handling time of the notification has been extended until 11 December 2008.

Cassa Oy has made a preliminary acquisition notification in case an opportunity should arise for Kesko Food to conclude the said acquisition. The acquisition process referred to in the notification has not progressed.
