The sale is effective on 1 November.

The Beesten plant has been unoperational ever since Nordmilch shut the site down during the second quarter of this year.

Thanks to the purchase, DP Supply is planning to increase its capacity for producing spray dried fat powders and vegetable-based creamers. DP Supply will also form a new subsidiary at the site called DP Trockenwerk GmbH.

"We are glad that we can produce in Beesten in the future. Through the purchase of the manufacturing plant we want to keep participating in the growth of the market and to strengthen our position as an established supplier of creamers and fat powders," commented Jan Buining, Managing Director DP Supply BV.

According to a company statement, a total of 20 million euro will be invested in the capacity expansion programme.

DP Trockenwerk GmbH will employ 41 of the existing Nordmilch staff at Beesten.

DP Supply BV is one of the leading suppliers of vegetable-based spray dried coffee creamers and fat powders. The company is a subsidiary of the Basic Supply Group BV, based in Emmen, The Netherlands. The Basic Supply Group BV develops, produces and markets ingredients for the food industry.
