Washington, Nov. 1, 2008 – Jolly Good Meat Products, a Los Angeles, Calif. establishment, is recalling approximately 600 pounds of ready-to-eat and raw banger sausage rolls because they may contain an undeclared allergen, eggs, the U. S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service announced today.
Egg is a known allergen, which is not declared on the label.
The following products are subject to recall:
• 8.9-pound cases of ready-to-eat “Jolly Good Banger Rolls.”
• 24-pound cases of raw “Jolly Good Banger Rolls.”
Each box bears Est. # “6216” inside the USDA mark of inspection. The Banger Rolls products were produced in September and October, and were shipped to distributors in California for further distribution to retail establishments and restaurants.
