5 November 2008 - The continuous rainfall on parts of France since the weekend has negatively impcated some businesses in the Loire department.
Danone's Badoit bottled water facility in Saint-Galmier was flooded by an overflow of the Coise river on Sunday and has consequently halted production until next week.
Danone had already stopped production at the plant during the previous week in response to a drop in sales of Badoit bottles, which are considered as more expensive than other sparkling water brands.
The Saint-Galmier Badoit facility employs nearly 200 people.
