12 November 2008 - French bakery group Brioche Pasquier has opened a 40 million euro biscotte plant in Brissac-Quincé (Maine-et-Loire department).
Its first production line has the capacity to produce 1 ton of biscottes per hour. A second line, which will produce 1.5 tons each hour, is scheduled for late January.
The company expects the plant to have a total of 4 production lines by 2013 and about 150 employees.
