4 December 2008 - French natural gum and resin processor Alland & Robert, which opened a spray drying facility in Saint-Aubin-sur-Gaillon (Eure department) last year, is now able to double its production capacity with approximately 12,000 tons per annum.
According to local reports, the investment in the company's new plant required 5 million euro and is expected to result in some job creations at the site.
Established in 1884, Alland & Robert has approximately 46 employees and an annual turnover of 20 million euro.
The firm has another facility in Port-Mort (near St Aubin). Both plants manufacture regular spray dried or instant soluble (agglomerated) acacia gum. The company sources its acacia gum from Tambacounda in Senegal and N’Djamena in Chad.
