9 Jan - Chinese authorities have arrested 60 people connected to the melamine-contaminated milk scandal that has killed six children and sickened 295,000.

No details were released over who the 60 people were or what role they had in the contamination crisis that sparked world-wide concern.
Some 21 people, including the former boss of Sanlu, the company at the centre of the scandal, have already stood trial over the issue Reports suggest some defendants could face the death penalty if found guilty.
