US: Food Additives Permitted for Direct Addition to Food for Human Consumption; Glycerides and Polyglycides
Source: US Government
14/03/2006
Washington, 14 March 2006 - The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is amending the food additive regulations to provide for the safe use of a mixture of glycerides and polyethylene glycol mono- and di-esters of fatty acids of hydrogenated vegetable oils as an excipient in dietary supplement tablets, capsules, and liquid formulations that are intended for ingestion in daily quantities measured in drops or similar small units of measure. This action is in response to a petition filed by Gattefosse Corp.
