Milk Specialties Global Announces Acquisition of Edan Naturals

Carpentersville, IL, March 13 - Milk Specialties Global has announced that it has acquired Edan Naturals, a specialized nutrition supplement manufacturer located in Wautoma, WI.

Edan Naturals specializes in high-speed tablet compression, powder blending and encapsulation, all with complementary packaging capabilities.  In addition, this facility is in a great position to handle the new cGMP requirements that customers are looking for from a nutraceutical vendor. 

Milk Specialties Global Food Solutions business unit is a manufacturer and marketer of specialty nutritional proteins including milk, whey, egg and grain based proteins for the active nutrition industry.  

“Edan Naturals is the next step in our expanding food ingredient strategy,” said David Lenzmeier, President of Milk Specialties Global – Food Solutions unit.   “Edan has built a strong position with terrific manufacturing capabilities that will complement our existing business.   We feel fortunate to include such a high quality operation as part of our company.”

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
