10 June 2009 - Tata Tea Ltd has announced the following Audited results for the year ended March 31, 2009:

The Company has posted a profit after tax of Rs 1590.60 million for the year ended March 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 3128.60 million for the year ended March 31, 2008. Total Income has increased from Rs 12632.90 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 to Rs 15246.40 million for the year ended March 31, 2009.

The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 7005.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 15425.50 million for the year ended March 31, 2008. Total Income has increased from Rs 43759.70 million for the year ended March 31, 2008 to Rs 49073.00 million for the year ended March 31, 2009.
