12 June 2009 - Troubled Dairy Farmers of Britain will close one of its sites in Wales after failing to find a buyer.
The Dairy Farmers of Britain's closure of its factory in Bridgend is expected to lead to the loss of 279 jobs.
PricewaterhouseCoopers' Stephen Oldfield, joint receiver, said that the extent of the continuing losses and the lack of a credible funded buyer made the decision to close unavoidable.
The cooperative, which supplies over 1 billion liters of milk a year, or more than 10% of U.K. consumption, entered receivership last week.
