Creators of Quebec's first soft washed-rind cheese - Saint-Damase -, the Damafro master cheese artisans are at the root of an extensive range of delectable fresh and ripened cheeses. Damafro markets more than 90 cheeses in North America under 35 brand names including: Damablanc, Mme Clément Camembert, Le Trappeur Brie, CaBrie, Bouchées Saveur, Chèvre des Alpes, Biquet as well as the celebrated Tournevent goat cheese, Chèvre Noir.
After 25 successful years and more than 65 awards, Damafro is now one of the three largest fine cheese manufacturers in North America and among the leading Camembert and Brie producers in Canada. Damafro purchased the Tournevent cheese factory in 2005, then making it the leading producer of goat's milk cheese in Quebec. The company employs 190 people at its 85,000-square-foot facility in Saint-Damase, making it one of the region's largest employers.
