Mexico City, June 24 - Mexico produced 4,962,818 tonnes of sugar in the 2008/09 harvest, 10.11 percent less than last year's cycle, the National Cane Workers Union said on Wednesday.
The union had estimated Mexico would produce some 5.3 million tonnes of sugar this season, while the Agriculture Ministry projected 5.1 million tonnes of output.
