Manila, Aug 18 - The Philippines' production of unmilled rice was forecast to rise 3.77 percent to 17.45 million tonnes in 2009, supported by increased cropland and better yield, according to government estimates issued on Tuesday.
Corn production was expected to increase 2.26 percent to 7.09 million tonnes, the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics said.
