Fonterra Resumes Milk Powder Sales in Chinese Market

Sep 4 - Fonterra Co-operative Group, the global largest dairy export enterprise, returned to Chinese market one year after impacted by Sanlu incident and retreating.

Anlene and Anmum milk powder of Fonterra has resumed sales in 7 cities including Shanghai in August, with the company responsible for distribution altering from Applica Products Inc under the former Sanlu Group into the enterprise of Dah Chong Hong Holdings Limited. Anlene and Anmum series products adopt upgrading enriched formula, target high-end consumption market and differ from local subpackage of part of products in cooperation with the former Sanlu Group. The present listed milk powder is originally imported from New Zealand from raw materials to package. Relevant person from Fonterra expressed that considering the quality guarantee, the prices of products in distribution are the same as the previous though the cost may slightly rise.
