Unilever Nigeria Sees 75 pct Rise in 09 Pretax Profit

Lagos, Sept - Unilever Nigeria said on Friday it expects pre-tax profit to jump 74.75 percent to 6.99 billion naira ($46.35 million) in the year to Dec. 31, 2009 compared with the same period last year.

Turnover at the company, which makes food brands, personal care and household products, is seen rising 17.72 percent to 43.56 billion naira from a year earlier, Unilever said in a forecast to the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
