According to Emmanuel Faber, Danone's Co-Chief Operating Officer, who gave a presentation at an investor meeting in Boston yesterday, the product has already received strong consumer acceptance.

He argued that Danone soon expects be in the unique position of being able to offer the benefits of probiotics to consumers who cannot afford or easily get hold of fresh dairy products.

"One day probably, we will also be able also to dry-freeze probiotics, put them into powder form. Their benefits would be revived again after being associated with a liquid", stated Faber.
