“Our company has seen substantial growth over the years and this new facility will allow us to continue to expand and meet rising customer demand. York County and Rock Hill provide the perfect fit for our operations, with an excellent business environment and labor force. We appreciate all the support we’ve received from state and local officials,” said Doug Meyer-Cuno, president of Carolina Ingredients.

The company is a custom blender of spices and food ingredients for the commercial food industry, and will open its new facility in an existing building in Rock Hill. The company plans to have the facility outfitted and ready to start operations by Dec. 1.

“Carolina Ingredients has nearly two decades of experience in meeting customer needs in the food service industry. The company’s decision to locate its new facility in South Carolina is a strong indication that our business-friendly climate and strong workforce are working to attract new investment and create new job opportunities for South Carolinians. Thanks to the team effort of state and local officials, York County will benefit from this investment now and in the future,” said Joe Taylor, Secretary of Commerce.

York County Council Chairman Buddy Motz said, “Carolina Ingredients is the kind of resilient and innovative company that will prosper in any economic environment.  York County actively seeks to recruit business exactly like Carolina Ingredients and is proud to add them to our growing corporate community.”

Carolina Ingredients expects to begin the hiring process for the positions in December, and continue hiring through January.

Customer ingredient needs are met through the company’s comprehensive warehouse and inventory department, supported by an extensive network of suppliers.
