Polish Competition Authorities Approve Divestment of Raisio's Margarine Business to Bunge

8 October 2009 - The Polish competition authorities have announced their approval of the divestment of Raisio's margarine business to Bunge.

The transaction will be concluded in the near future. Bunge will pay the acquisition price in cash at the conclusion of the transaction.

On 14 May 2009, Raisio plc announced it had signed an agreement with Bunge, which, when completed, would lead to the divestment of Raisio's margarine business. The transaction was conditional on the approval of the Polish competition authorities, which has now been granted.
