London, Oct 9 - Europe's cocoa grind rose 16.5 percent year-on-year to 406,080 tonnes in the third quarter of 2009, the European Cocoa Association said on Friday.
The Brussels-based ECA's quarterly statistics cover most of the grinding industry in the European Union and Switzerland.
On Wednesday, the association of German confectionery producers, BDSI, reported an 11.1 percent rise in Germany's third quarter grind.
