El Salvador Coffee Exports Fall 6.6 pct in 2008/09

San Salvador, Oct 12 - Coffee exports from El Salvador fell 6.6 percent in the 2008/09 season to 1,370,751 60-kg bags, the national coffee council said on Monday.

The council said exports were 1,467,387 in the previous 2007/08 cycle, which begins in October every year.

Exports in September rose 20.5 percent to 63,660 60-kg bags compared to the same month a year ago.
