Mexico City, Oct 13 - Coffee exports from Mexico rose 8.6 percent in the 2008/09 season to 2,774,680 60-kg bags, according to statistics from the agriculture ministry and the national coffee organization Amecafe.
Mexico exported 2,555,366 60-kg bags in the 2007/08 cycle, said a report posted on Amecafe's website on Tuesday.
In September, the last month of the current coffee harvesting season, Mexico exported 197,489 60-kg bags of coffee, a 6.74 percent increase from the same month a year ago.
