Ukrainian Sweet Maker Roshen Sees Q3 Sales Grow 3%

20 October 2009 - Leading Ukrainian sweet manufacturer Roshen Confectionery Corporation has announced that its sales for the third quarter of 2009 increased 3% compared to Q3 2008 with 255,000 tons of products sold.

The company also said that it recorded an output of 260,000 tons in Q3 2009. Production in Ukrainian factories alone amounted to 186,000 tons, up 2% from Q3 2008.

Roshen Confectionery Corporation is a leading Ukrainian confectionery manufacturer employing over 10,000 people. Its factories in Kiev, Vinnitsa, Mariupol and Kremenchug produce about 30% of all Ukrainian confectionery.

The company’s product range comprises more than 200 kinds of sweets, chocolates, sugar candies, cookies, waffles, fruit jellies and cakes.

Roshen is an affiliate of the Kiev-based Ukrainian Industrial and Investment Concern (Ukrprominvest).
