India: Tata Coffee Releases Results for H1 2009

22 October 2009 - India's largest green coffee exporter, has reported a standalone net profit of Rs 11.53 crore for H12009, almost unchanged from the 2008 figure of Rs 11.5 crore.

Income from operations for the period were down compared to 2008 at Rs 168.04 crore compared with Rs 187.95 crore a year ago.

For the second quarter ended September, the company reported income from operations of Rs 87.44 crore (on a standalone basis), compared with Rs 102.04 crore a year ago, and a net profit of Rs 6.99 crore, compared with Rs 7.62 crore in the year-ago quarter, a fall of 8.26 per cent.
