23 October 2009 - France's Groupe Soufflet has sold its pancake business Creperie Lebreton to Jacquet, a leading French baker and part of the Limagrain Group.
Based in Langonnet, Brittany, Creperie Lebreton reported a 9 million euro turnover for 2008-2009. The company employs 60 people at its production site. The company, which has been part of Groupe Soufflet since 1994, produces 11 million pancakes per year.
Emmanuel Aimond, President of Jacquet commented: "Jacquet continues to widen its bakery product portfolio. This acquisition strengthens our cake and snack offering and is in line with our previous acquisition in 2008 of Milcamps, a leading waffle maker in Belgium".
Jacquet employs 900 staff and its annual turnover amounts to 199 million euro.
