The new factory will eventually provide employment for about 100 people.

Tessenderlo Group considers the gelatin activities to be one of the major growth areas for the future.

In addition, the building of the new production unit in Brazil fits perfectly in the group’s strategy to increase the share of specialities in the group’s revenue to 70 %.

Tessenderlo Group has production sites for gelatins in Argentina, China, Europe and the United States of America.

Jan Vandendriessche, Director Organic Specialities explains: “The construction of the gelatin factory allows us to strengthen our position as the third largest manufacturer of gelatin in the world, and to increase our worldwide presence in the major markets for gelatin.

Javier Martin, General Manager of PB Leiner Argentina and project manager adds: “The presence of raw materials and the synergies with existing activities in Argentina are key to choosing this location”.
