The facility complies with China Food GMP standards, and has the flexibility to produce carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) for the food, paper, oilfield and industrial markets. This new facility has been designed to produce 15,000MT/year with the ability to expand to accommodate future demand.

“We are very excited about our newest CMC facility as this will allow us to further expand our purified CMC offering into the Asian markets,” said Robert Dunn, CMC Category Director. “European engineering design, world class quality assurance processes and local technical support laboratories and facilities have been incorporated into making this the largest CMC facility in China.”

CP Kelco Taixing facility will feature the new MAJOL® CMC brand, which is a highly purified cold-water-soluble polymer, designed to meet the demanding needs of our China customer in terms of cost, quality and performance. MAJOL CMC will comply with China's Food Safety Law that went into effect June 1, 2009, and the manufacturing process will comply with the China Food cGMP standards.

MAJOL CMC is applicable for use in food applications including ice cream, dairy products, bakery, salad dressing, beverage, meat and pet food. MAJOL strictly complies with food safety requirements.
