Lembeke, Belgium/Geldrop, The Netherlands 30 June 2006 - On 7 June 2006, Lotus Bakeries and Koninklijke Peijnenburg announced their intention to join forces, with Lotus Bakeries taking over all shares of Koninklijke Peijnenburg B.V.
As prescribed by law, the advice was seeked from the works councils of both Lotus Bakeries Nederland and Koninklijke Peijnenburg. Both works councils have given a positive advice.
The formal transfer of shares was realized, as planned, on 30 June 2006.
The financial results of Koninklijke Peijnenburg will be consolidated by Lotus Bakeries as of 1 July 2006.
