Santiago, August 01 2006 - Chilean Coca-Cola Co. (KO) bottler Embotelladora Andina registered a 24.3% first-half rise in net profit to 30.95 billion pesos ($57.03 million) from CLP24.89 billion in the same period last year, the company said Tuesday.
The pace of annual net profit growth slowed from 42.7% in the first quarter.
Sales totaled CLP255.65 billion, up 8.0% from CLP236.69 billion in the same period, while operating profit rose 16.6% to CLP40.35 billion from CLP34.61 billion in the same time frame, according to the earnings data published on the Web site of securities regulator SVS.
Andina has operations in Chile, Argentina and Brazil.
