Moscow, Aug 17 - Russia will extend indefinitely a zero import tariff on green coffee beans from October 31, the government said.
Russia suspended a five percent import tariff on green coffee beans for nine months from February to support domestic roasters and soluble coffee producers.
Russian coffee manufacturers have said scrapping the tariff would stimulate building of full-cycle plants processing green beans into instant coffee.
Russia imported 25,300 tonnes of green, roasted and ground coffee for around $48.6 million in the first half of this year.
