Russia's Unimilk Acquires Baby Food Brand

20 September 2006 - Russian milk producer Unimilk JSC has acquired the Tip-Top trademark from baby food producer the First Baby Food Plant.

In a statement, Unimilk said that the acquisition will enable them to expand their range of products in the infant nutrition area as well as make the Tip-Top brand more accessible all over Russia with a large marketing campaign.

“We hope that the strategic partnership with the company will make our products even more accessible in the different regions of Russia”, said a First Baby Food Plant spokesman.

According to the statement, Unimilk was established in 2002 and has a workforce of over 10,000. Unimilk unites 23 dairy producers in Russia and 2 in Ukraine. The company is a leading player in the Russian dairy sector with a 15% share.
