Georgia, VT, September 26, 2006 - Powder infant formulas have been manufactured in a state-of-the-art industrial park in northern Vermont for more than 20 years. Now formula-maker PBM Nutritionals, LLC, is experiencing exponential growth as it continues to rollout new products for new domestic and international customers. Yesterday, the company announced that it plans to begin manufacturing infant formula products on a seven-day production schedule and will be increasing staff up to ten percent in the coming months.
“Thanks to our experienced team in Vermont, we are producing new formulas for new customers in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South Africa, and the Far East,” said Paul B. Manning, CEO of PBM Nutritionals. “As a global company with tremendous capabilities, we are looking to double our production volume in the next fewtwo to three y years, and we already have a pipeline of new companies to work with us.”
The only ISO 9001:2000-certified infant formula-manufacturing facility in the country, PBM Nutritionals manufactures private-label (store brand) formulas for companies such as Wal-Mart, Kroger, Target, Loblaws, and Walgreens, as well as its own Ultra Bright Beginnings™ formulas. PBM Nutritionals currently employs approximately 250 employees and is capable of producing up to 40 million pounds of infant formula a year.
