India's Tata Tea to Revise Prices

24 November 2006 - Tata Tea told Indian newspapers that it would revise the price of its packet tea across all brands, except Agni, by Rs 4 and Rs 6 per kg.

Tata Tea executive director Sangeeta Talwar explained that Tata Tea was simply following its competitors, who have hiked their tea prices.

The company is also planning to launch a brand in the next two months, said Ms Talwar. She, however, did not disclose any further details.
