6 December 2006 - The German financial press reports that beverage producer Eckes AG has acquired a 26% stake in its fruit juice-making subsidiary company Eckes-Granini Gmbh & Co KG from Melitta GmbH & Co KG.
The purchase price was not disclosed. However, the acquisition now enables Eckes to have total control over Eckes-Granini.
According to one report, Melitta wants to concentrate on its core operations, which are coffee and household products.
