3 August 2006 - German phosphate specialist Budenheim and the Spanish company Altesa announced today that Altesa has chosen to become part of Budenheim in a step to further enhance its growth potential in the seafood treatment business.
“Altesa fits with its complementary product range perfectly to Budenheims strong position in the seafood treatment business and supports our strategy to become the market leader for seafood additives”, said Rainer Schnee, VP Business Unit Food Ingredients of Budenheim. “Building on the strong global presence of Budenheim, the excellent growth perspectives of Altesa will be developed to its full extent”, said Luis Guiterrez, owner and CEO of Altesa, who sold the company to Budenheim for an undisclosed sum, effectively August 2nd, 2006.
