Romania: Bakery Company Vel Pitar Buys Bread Maker

17 January 2007 - Romanian bakery firm Vel Pitar has acquired a bread producer, Spicul de Aur Prodcom, located in Targoviste, county of Dambovita, for about 1 million euro, say reports in Romania's financial media.

Vel Pitar reportedly acquired Spicul de Aur Prodcom mainly due to its location, which is expected to become dynamic.

The Targoviste plant itself operates 2 automated lines, with a third one to become functional in a month. The facility produces 20 tons of bread daily.
