Vietnamese Cake Maker Bibica Builds New Plant

26 January 2007 - Bien Hoa Confectionery Joint Stock Co (Bibica) has started work on its third confectionery facility in Vietnam this week. The company expects to begin operations there in August.

Reports in the Vietnamese press say that Bibica invested VND 78 billion (USD 4.93 million) in the project including a new cream and chocolate cake production line able to produce 2,500 tons per year.

The new plant is located in the Binh Duong Province. The other two facilities are in Dong Nai near Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
