Carrefour Has Completed the Acquisition of 12 Hypernova Hypermarkets from Ahold

Carrefour has announced today that it has completed the acquisition of 12 Hypernova hypermarkets from Ahold in Poland. The transaction has been approved by Polish Competition Authorities.

With this acquisition, Carrefour becomes the second largest hypermarket operator in Poland with 29 hypermarkets as well as over 70 supermarkets trading under the Champion and Globi banners.
