Refresco Holding B.V. Acquires UK's Histogram

15 March 2007 - Refresco Holding B.V., a major European manufacturer of soft drinks, today announced the acquisition of Histogram Ltd, a UK soft drinks business based in Durham.

This is the first acquisition by Refresco in the United Kingdom and represents another exciting new growth market for the Refresco Group. This follows the recent acquisition by Refresco of Kentpol in Poland.

Commenting on the acquisition Mr. Hans Roelofs, CEO of Refresco said: “As part of Refresco’s overall buy and build growth strategy, this deal represents another significant step forward for the company. Histogram has a long and successful track record as a specialist manufacturer of juice and juice drinks and will provide with a platform for growth in the UK market. We look forward to working together in partnership with the existing shareholder who will remain on board as minority shareholder”

Mr. Chris Banks, a Founding Director and principal Shareholder of Histogram commented: “This is good news for all concerned -  Histogram, staff, customers and suppliers. I and the Histogram management team are all looking forward to working with Refresco on the next exciting phase in the development of this business.”
