In a statement, Panavi said that the acquisition is seen as in line with the company’s international growth strategy. The firm will soon establish its presence in Germany and Italy, added the statement.

In January 2007, FLEXNEWS reported that Panavi also bought a production site in Le Mans from rival Les Délices de la Tour, a CSM subsidiary, for about 15 million euro.

The company has recently stated that 40 new jobs will be created in September for its Le Mans site.

Founded in 1985, Panavi has 9 production sites and 8 distribution centres, with a workforce of 900 employees.
